Like the honey eyed bastard offspring of Emmylou Harris, Bill Callahan and The Silver Jews, The Wanda Junes tippy-toe from lo-fi fragile beauty to joyous jug band knees up, with seasoned confidence that defies their collective age. Current line up includes Jeff Henderson, Thom Plasse (Passion Pit), Bobby Carlson (Feel Free, Victorian Slang), Adam Frumhoff, Karima Walker (currently on solo tour and/or with the freak folk band, Human Behavior), and Allison McGillivray. The band recorded 'Hi Fi Record Album', their debut for Emotional Response, in Tempe on analog 8track in two lightning sessions, creating a perfect soundtrack to guzzling a bottle of cheap wine or three...
